Fund Managers Assistant Required London

Our client is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. The investment management arm provides global investment opportunities to a substantial and diversified client base including institutions, governments and high net worth individuals. It is one of the pre-eminent investment management organisations globally, with responsibility for over $640bn assets under management. .

The London based PCA team is responsible for oversight of over 400 portfolios which are invested globally across all asset classes including alternative investments and complex derivative products. This is a senior technical position within GSAM Operations and as such requires the capability to work effectively with a diverse range of professionals both internally and externally, covering a wide range of accounting, product and industry initiatives.

The principal responsibilities for this position include:
- Oversight of the accounting and reconciliation functions.
- Problem solving capability for complex accounting, performance and portfolio issues.
- Performance calculations and investigations.
- Cash management.
- Client reporting covering portfolio analysis, accounting and regulatory reports.
- Extensive ad hoc analysis for fund managers and clients.
- Project participation for new systems, processes and products.
- Significant liaison with internal and external clients.
- Management of departmental change events including systems automation, scalability initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Business planning including new accounts, new products and new markets.
- Operational policy formation and implementation including risk management, valuation, accounting and controls.
