Funds are Shifting Prime Brokers in ‘Flight to Quality’

Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank appear to have benefited as hedge funds shift their prime-brokerage business in a “flight to quality.”

Goldman’s Securities Services business generated record net revenue of $985 million during its fiscal second quarter. That figure represented a 36 percent increase from a year earlier.
